Membership
At LifePoint Church, we believe that membership is an expression of our commitment to one another and to the vision and core values of LPC. It’s about joining a family that is united in our beliefs and purpose of drawing life from God and pointing others to him.
At LPC, we believe that church membership is important for a couple of reasons:
1. A commitment to a local church body is biblical and was the normal practice of the
early New Testament church.
2. Church membership provides us with a place to use our spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians
12, Romans 12, Ephesians 4), it gives us a spiritual community to support our
growth as Christ followers (Acts 2:42-47, Ephesians 5:21, Hebrews 10:24-25), it
places us under the spiritual protection of church leaders (Hebrews 13:17, Acts
20:28) and it communicates to other church members that we are committed to one
another.
The starting point for the membership process here at LPC begins with our Discovering Life Membership Class. The Discovering Life class lasts for about two hours and during that time, we talk about what it means to be a member at LifePoint, give you some tools to help you in your spiritual journey and explain the details of the membership process. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions and connect with some of the LifePoint staff team and other LifePoint members. Discovering Life is offered approximately every 6 weeks and you can click here to register for the next membership meeting.
